Before you automate anything, find out what is actually worth automating.

The audit that maps how work moves through your business, names the bottlenecks in order, and tells you what to build first. Then you decide who builds it.

What it is

A map of where your time actually goes, and what to do about it.

Most businesses know something is inefficient. Very few can point at the specific handoff that is costing them the most, which is why so much automation work gets spent on whatever was most annoying that week.

The audit fixes the sequencing problem. We sit with you and your team, follow the work through the business as it actually moves rather than as the process document says it moves, and come back with a prioritized list of what to build, in what order, and what each one is worth.

It is deliberately sold as its own thing. You can take the roadmap and build it yourself, hand it to another firm, or have PCS build it. If you do move forward with a build within 30 days, your audit fee applies toward it.

What you get

  • A workflow inventory of how work really moves
  • Bottleneck and manual task analysis
  • An automation opportunity map
  • Tool stack review, including what to stop paying for
  • Recommended use cases, sized and sequenced
  • An implementation roadmap with phases
  • A priority scorecard and executive summary
  • A recorded walkthrough you can share internally
How it runs

Four steps, and you are involved in two of them.

  1. Map the workflow

We review the tasks, tools, handoffs and waiting periods that make up a normal week. On site where that is practical, because the interesting answers come from watching, not from asking.

  2. Find the leverage

We identify where automation, AI, and better routing would actually change something, and where they would just add a system to maintain.

  3. Prioritize honestly

Everything gets ranked by impact, complexity, risk, and how fast it pays back. Some things will be marked as not worth doing, which is part of the value.

  4. Decide what happens

You get the roadmap either way. If you want it built, PCS can build it, and your audit fee comes off the price.

Questions about ai efficiency audit

What is an AI Efficiency Audit?

An AI Efficiency Audit is a paid engagement in which Powell Content Studio maps how work actually moves through a business, identifies where repetitive manual work and slow handoffs are costing time and money, and delivers a prioritized roadmap of what to automate first. It starts at $3,500 and produces a document and a walkthrough, not software.

Do I have to buy a buildout afterwards?

No. The roadmap is yours regardless. You can execute it internally, give it to another firm, or do nothing with it. If you do choose to have PCS build it within 30 days, the audit fee comes off the price of the build.

How long does an audit take?

It depends on how many workflows and how many people are involved, which is exactly why there are three price tiers rather than one. The timeline is agreed in writing before the engagement starts.

Is this just a sales process with a price on it?

It is a real deliverable, and the honest test is that the roadmap regularly includes items PCS does not sell and items marked as not worth doing. An audit that recommends buying everything is a brochure.
